LOS ANGELES, CA: Top Indian music artists including Karsh Kale, Nitin Sawney, Reggie Benjamin, Tina Sungandh and DJ DK and music artists from the West like Michelle Branch and Kimberley Locke will perform on August 21 for a crossover charity concert to benefit the fight against the emerging HIV/AIDS crisis in India. For the first time ever, major music and film stars from India will share stage with top music artists from the West for a social cause that addresses the most challenging public health crisis in India.

“This is an unprecedented cross-cultural affair designed to showcase the power of the Indian and Western entertainment industries in raising the world’s awareness of the AIDS pandemic facing India,” said Mark Porter, event co-founder.

Hollywood celebrities and many renowned Indian social and business personalities are expected to attend the concert along with an expected live audience of 2400 people.

The concert is being organized on August 21 at the Wiltern LG Theatre in Los Angeles and will be filmed and recorded for DVD/CD, television and cable distribution throughout the world.
