Crossover charity brings top Indian
and western artists

ANGELES, CA: Top Indian music artists including Karsh Kale, Nitin
Sawney, Reggie Benjamin, Tina Sungandh and DJ DK and music artists
from the West like Michelle Branch and Kimberley Locke will
perform on August 21 for a crossover charity concert to benefit
the fight against the emerging HIV/AIDS crisis in India. For the
first time ever, major music and film stars from India will share
stage with top music artists from the West for a social cause that
addresses the most challenging public health crisis in India.
“This is an unprecedented cross-cultural affair designed to
showcase the power of the Indian and Western entertainment
industries in raising the world’s awareness of the AIDS pandemic
facing India,” said Mark Porter, event co-founder.
Hollywood celebrities and many renowned Indian social and business
personalities are expected to attend the concert along with an
expected live audience of 2400 people.
The concert is being organized on August 21 at the Wiltern LG
Theatre in Los Angeles and will be filmed and recorded for DVD/CD,
television and cable distribution throughout the world.
